THE WHITE BARN
Built in the 1880s by Adam Knipp and Christian Stengel, the historic Knipp-Stengel Barn is one of The Sea Ranch's most recognizable landmarks. Originally part of a thriving cattle and dairy operation, the barn predates the modern Sea Ranch community by nearly a century. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987, it remains a cherished landmark and gathering place for the community.
BLACK POINT BARN
Set against the coastal meadow and Pacific, Black Point Barn is one of the surviving structures from the landscape that existed long before The Sea Ranch was conceived. Built in the 1870s, the barn originally served as the livery stable for the Black Point Hotel, part of the small settlement that once occupied this stretch of coast. Restored in 1984, it remains a physical link between The Sea Ranch of today and the working landscape that preceded it.
COASTAL BARN
Nestled among the coastal hedgerows behind The Sea Ranch Lodge, the historic Black Point Barn dates to the 1870s, long before the modern Sea Ranch community was established. Originally associated with the old Black Point settlement and hotel, the barn is a surviving reminder of the Sonoma Coast's early history.
