PORTAL DOG

I was photographing a couple for their post-wedding session, and they had a vision: a Wes Anderson-inspired shoot, complete with 1950s wardrobe, quirky poses, and a little cinematic charm. They did a great job. Then we took a break, and their dog decided it was time to show them how it's done. No direction. No wardrobe. No posing instructions. He just found the perfect spot, sat down, and delivered this masterpiece. Crushed it!

SEA RANCH LODGE COURTYARD

At The Sea Ranch Lodge, architecture and landscape were conceived as one—weathered wood, simple geometry, and buildings shaped around the existing coastal environment rather than imposed upon it. In the courtyard, a mature cypress becomes part of the architecture itself, framed by cedar walls and the Lodge’s distinctive curved lighting. The tree and structure share the space, each defining the other.

FORM AND LIGHT

A study in architectural simplicity at The Sea Ranch Lodge. Weathered wood, intersecting rooflines, and sculptural white lamps create a quiet composition of form, texture, and negative space. Photographed with an emphasis on the geometric character of Sea Ranch architecture. Processed with a vintage analog film aesthetic, preserving the natural warmth of the wood and the soft coastal light.
